Deposits, Cancellations and Weather

We require a $100 deposit to hold your date. This deposit is fully refundable up to 2 weeks before our trip if you should need to cancel. Once we receive your deposit, we will send you a receipt along with directions to the dock. We will call you a few days before our trip to confirm directions and departure times. This is Lake Erie and she is unpredictable. The weathermen also lie. If your captain deems it necessary to cancel due to weather, your deposit will be refunded OR you may reschedule another date that works best for you and your party. It's your choice.

Please make deposits payable to Ken Nulph and mail to PO Box 83 Fairview, PA 16415.

The Day

Full-day trips are 8 hours, dock-to-dock or limit out, whatever happens first. All tackle is provided. We will clean and pack your fish for you when we return to port. Please bring an extra cooler with ice to transport your fish home. Leave your extra cooler in your vehicle until the end of the day.

PA Fishing License Requirements

We only fish the Lake Erie waters of PA. Anyone over the age of 16 will need a PA fishing license with Lake Erie Permit. You will also need a trout stamp if catching/keeping any trout species, including lake trout. If you haven't done so already, you can Purchase your PA fishing license here.

What to Bring

You will also need to bring something to munch on (NO BANANAS, CAPTAIN KEN WILL THROW THEM IN THE LAKE!) and something to drink.

Please combine all drinks and food into one cooler for your party. Beer (cans only) is permitted. Leave the hard stuff at home, please.  If you plan on getting inebriated during your trip, you will want to reconsider another charter service.  We ARE NOT your guys.

Other items to consider bringing along include camera, rain gear, Little Debbie's for Captain Ken and Captain Doug, sunglasses and sunblock (NO BANANA BOAT BRAND SUNSCREEN. CAPTAIN KEN WILL THROW IT IN THE LAKE!). Motion sickness medication such as Dramamine. Start taking Dramamine a day or two before our tip. Taking it the morning of the trip very rarely works. Please wear soft-soled shoes. No work boots, cowboy boots, dress shoes, clogs, etc.. Last but not least cash. Cash to pay the remainder of your balance and tipping of the first mate. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS!
